Titanium skull implant (patient specific)

Another great success for medical technology. We printed this patient-specific skull plate (cranial implant) made of titanium for a patient after a serious accident. The model was derived directly from the patient's CT data. The many tiny holes are used by the surgeon to later fix it to the remaining bone. Fascinating precision!
