We have developed a new aluminum heat exchanger and cut it open for illustration. The complex internal gyroid lattice structure extremely maximizes the surface area for the coolant. Conventional finned coolers can no longer keep up in terms of power density (kW/kg). However, printing aluminum without hot cracks remains an art in itself.
