Description

The Meltio Robot Cell is a compact, fully enclosed manufacturing cell for industrial metal 3D printing with wire and laser. It combines a 6-axis industrial robot with a 2-axis positioner, thereby enabling the additive manufacturing of complex metal components from different directions. With an installation space of up to Ø 1,000 × 1,200 mm and a maximum workpiece load of 500 kg, the system is particularly suitable for larger components, repair applications and function-oriented metal structures. Among other things, steel, stainless steel, titanium and nickel alloys with wire diameters of 0.8 to 1.2 mm are processed. Typical areas of application include repairing worn components, applying material to existing components, producing prototypes and producing individual metal parts. The closed laser class 1 cell allows the system to be safely integrated into industrial manufacturing environments.
